Co-op Fantasy Auto-Battler
Seven tribes. One grid.
Outlast the gauntlet.
Gridforged is a co-op fantasy auto-battler about shared danger and parallel grid-building. Each player runs their own runic board, slotting runes along its edges to project effects across whole rows and columns. Claim your encounter from a shared boss draft, then survive ten rounds of bosses — each followed by a nemesis fight against another player's ghost board.
The Codex
Seven tribes. Seven paths through the dark.
Every tribe commands unique combat keywords, signature units, and specialized runes. Mix their strengths to adapt to any board state, or commit to a single lineage to unlock their most potent, tribe-gated secrets.
The Forge
Runes don't attach to units. They project across the board.
Runes reside on dedicated tracks flanking your grid: the left track projects across rows, and the top track projects down columns. Placing a unit in their cross-fire lets them catch both effects simultaneously.
Your strategy lives in the trade-off. Populate the grid with raw numbers to catch wide-reaching buffs, or clear the lanes to focus four runes onto a single, high-synergy carrier. Cycle the setups below to see both styles in action.
Tap or hover any rune to light up the lanes it covers and the units it touches. Each unit's badge strip shows the rune families currently projecting onto it.
-
Forge by matching
Pull two same-base, same-tier runes onto the same track and the game forges the next tier in their place. Tiers go T1 → T4.
-
Generic + tribe-gated
Most rune families are generic. Some only fire for a specific tribe — Bloodscent only triggers Beasts; Mechanized only powers Mechs.
-
Keyword carriers
Inferno carries Burn, Toxicity carries Envenom, Bastion carries Shield. Stack a rune family to scale every keyword tick.
The Cards
Hundreds of units. Every one with an ability that matters.
Select any card to open its complete stats, tribe, keywords, and resolved ability description.
The Encounters
Authored bosses. Twisted boards.
Every stage in a Standard run is a boss fight. Claim one distinct encounter from the shared draft, navigate its custom rules and unique minion board, and survive the climb to round 10.
The Round
Shop 1 → Boss Draft → Boss → Reward → Shop 2 → Nemesis → Reward.
Ten rounds, two shops and two fights per round, built for 1–4 players. Play solo to solve the tactical puzzle, or band together with friends and claim rescue fights to salvage a bad boss round.
