Feast
This rule is part of the Comprehensive Rules, where every cross-reference resolves in one page.
In game
Heals source for 35% of vitality damage dealt.
Healing
- 800.22aFeast heals the source for 35% of the Vitality damage it actually dealt, minimum 1 when any Vitality damage landed.
- 800.22bDamage absorbed by Armor, Insurance, or Shield produces no Feast, because no Vitality was lost.
- 800.22cRetaliation does feed Feast. A unit that takes Vitality off an enemy through Thorns, Riposte, or Retort heals from it exactly as if it had dealt that damage. Retaliation into a boss is the exception: it scores as damage dealt but feeds no Feast.
- 800.22dThe heal is capped by the source's missing Vitality before Maim is applied, so a source at full Vitality restores nothing and consumes no Maim.
- 800.22eMaim on the source reduces the restoration and is consumed by it.
- 800.22fCards that convert Feast into bonus damage use the Vitality actually restored, so a full-Vitality Feast adds nothing and cannot recursively generate more Feast.
- 800.22gFeast also resolves off Burn and Venom ticks attributed to the source, split proportionally between multiple appliers.
